The objective of this Standard is to improve the safety of people performing any work near openings in floors, near the edges of floors or other elevated level working surfaces not being roofs of residential or commercial buildings. It provides guidance on the selection and use of equipment designed under the guidance of AS/NZS 4994.1 and is intended to prevent workers and other persons on these surfaces falling whilst performing any work or carrying out inspections on these floors or other surfaces.
